Max And Dominique Picard's "sparkling Bouquet Of Flowers"
Artist: Max Et Dominique Picard
Max and Dominique Picard, Picard workshop. Enameled lava plaque "Sparkling Bouquet of Flowers," signed JG Picard in the lower right corner of the flowerpot. French School. Height 43 cm. Width from 41 cm at the top to 57 cm at the base. The Picard workshops in Vallauris, 1950s-60s. Max and Dominique Picard masterfully drew upon the teachings of their former masters to offer us ceramics with colors so dazzling that even nature, so rich in its creations, could not have conceived them. Théodore Deck (1823-1891), whose work the Picards could not have been unaware of, was nicknamed "the magician of fire." Are our Vallauris ceramists not worthy of bearing this most fitting compliment themselves? Original wooden rod for protection. Good condition. 580 euros.
