- Pair of five-light Napoleon III period candelabra in chased gilt bronze. - The four branches are decorated with vine tendrils, bunches of grapes, scrolls, acanthus leaves, and inverted volutes. - The candle cups are decorated with vine tendrils, the cups are smooth and beaded, and the rim of the cup is chased. - Baluster-shaped central stem with a guilloché and chased, beaded and smooth foot, surmounted by a fluted Egyptian column capital, candle cup decorated with vine tendrils, smooth and beaded cup, and chased rim of the cup. - Tripod feet with snail-shaped scrolls adorned with a beaded garland and acanthus leaves and scrolls, surmounted by a scrolled cassolette on a chased foot. - Triangular base with concave front and sides. - Original gilding in good condition.- Period: 3rd quarter of the 19th century around 1870-1880.
