Louis XIV Period Veneered Mazarin Desk
An elegant Mazarin-style desk veneered in native woods, including walnut and boxwood. It features six drawers in the frieze and a drop-front door. The top is made of wood. A provincial piece from the Rhône Valley, dating from the Louis XIV period (late 17th/early 18th century). In very good condition, it was extensively restored by the previous owners, including repairs to the stretchers, veneer replacements, and some molding work. A small, three-sided piece, it is very decorative and presented in excellent condition.
