Coffee Table Or Desk Lxiv
Desk or middle table in veneer, elm burl, plum tree, sycamore and boxwood. It opens with a large frieze drawer and rests on 4 framed legs connected by a spacer with a rich floral decoration. The top also receives an abundant floral decoration of so-called Italian marquetry. The edge of the bec de corbin molded top features a decor of alternating chevrons in plum and solid sycamore. The entire belt and the front of the drawer are decorated with plum wood interlacing on a sycamore background. Our table is in part. 17th century the 4 legs with sides and the belt are 19th century
