JAPAN - Edo period (1603-1868).
MAETATE in silver-plated and polished copper depicting the lunar disc emerging from foaming waves in finely chiseled gilded copper, the reverse also in chiseled gilded copper bearing the mon of the KASAI clan.
Slight wear to the gilding.
Dimensions: 11.5 x 11.6 cm.

Sold with its base.
Dimensions with base: 25 x 11.6 x 7.3 cm.

The Kabuto is not sold with the maetate.
