"Secretary Louis XVI Old Marquetry"
A rare, small antique Louis XVI style secretary desk, dating from the second half of the 19th century. Beautiful marquetry in light rosewood adorned with rich gilt bronze mounts. A few minor restorations are needed to make it perfect, but this is by no means a tedious or expensive undertaking (a task within the reach of a meticulous handyman; I can offer advice on this if needed, as I have restored countless such desks during my professional career). Very important: no cracks on the entire front, including the drop-front and sides (very rare). The structure is oak with dovetail joints; all the elements are original except for the hinges on the top, which have been added and should be removed. Its small dimensions make it particularly interesting and rare: Height 130 cm, Width 71 cm, Total Depth 38 cm. Packaging: Item carefully packaged. Delivery: To be collected in Nevers. Delivery is possible in Paris (Paris/Nevers axis) and Montpellier. Shipments can be arranged from standard locations, generally offered on online sales sites, but also with professional carriers specializing in furniture and art objects worldwide. SHIPPING IS POSSIBLE WORLDWIDE. Payment: Contact us by email or phone/WhatsApp to arrange payment via international bank transfer (PayPal is also possible) after verification.
