Pair Of Chairs Stamped Sene, Louis XVI Period, 16 Seats, 18th Century
A pair of Louis XVI period lacquered linden wood "à la reine" chairs, stamped Claude Sene I, received as a master cabinetmaker on July 20, 1743. The front legs are tapered, fluted, and rudanted. The connecting blocks are carved with small flowers. The flat backrest is molded. The velvet upholstery is worn.
