Casimir Brau-Simon was an animal painter and illustrator. He was born in Bagnères-de-Bigorre and was active from 1890 to 1930. He exhibited at the Salon des Indépendants. He was also a sculptor, made famous by the mascots he designed for the automotive industry: horse, lion, eagle, rooster, notably for the Rosengart and Dietrich brands.
