Charmant bronze depicting two sleeping children accompanied by the attributes of harvesters and gardeners.
One is asleep on the other's lap, wearing a straw hat.
Around them, one can see a flail at their feet, sheaves of wheat, a watering can, and all sorts of gardening implements.
Beautiful chasing and a lovely medal-colored patina.
This bronze was originally mounted on a black marble base veined with white.
It dates from the very end of the 19th century, beginning of the 20th century.

two children are reminiscent of Clodion's work and are entirely in keeping with the sculptor's style, recalling the fashion for children with the attributes of a trade, which was popular in the second half of the 18th century.
