Pair of still lifes with fruit, signed Alfred Arthur Brunel de Neuville (1852-1941), late 19th, early 20th century. Alfred Arthur Brunel de Neuville was a French still life and animal painter born and died in Paris. A member of the Société des Artistes Français, he participated in its exhibitions from 1879 and became a full member in 1907. His works are displayed in several museums: Béziers, Brest, Château-Thierry, Louviers. He received numerous awards (see Bénézit). A very attractive pair of still lifes, very well executed, one with peaches and grapes, the other with currants and plums (a subject rarely depicted in still life). No damage. Total length 65 cm, Length without frame 55 cm, Total height 57 cm, Height without frame 46 cm. €2600 for the pair
