A Louis XVI Style Gilt Bronze Fire Screen Dating From The Late 19th Century

An elegant antique oval wire mesh fire screen, adorned in its center with a floral motif in chased and gilded bronze. The frame is richly sculpted with scrolls, foliage, and classical motifs, with an openwork pediment and an ornate base. It rests on four cabriole feet with casters, terminating in foliate sabots. The original gilding displays a beautiful patina, with slight signs of wear. Available now in our showroom.
