"Rare Plate - Irpinia Workshop (18th Century) Plate 1700-1799"
A beautifully sized plate made of thick paste. The rim is decorated with a polychrome ribbon motif forming recurring corners filled with small leafy branches. The decoration in the hollow of the plate depicts a large monstrance flanked by two green racemes with two dark red berries. The colors used are orange-yellow, copper green, and manganese brown. Made in Ariano Irpino.
