Solid Silver Stew Spoon, Farmers General Period, 18th Century
Large solid silver stew spoon, monogrammed "JG" pattern on the bowl. This spoon bears the hallmarks of the French tax farmers (Fermiers Généraux), difficult to decipher, likely the crowned "A" of Paris, and a small dog's head hallmark. There is some wear and scratches consistent with age. A lovely 18th-century spoon. Dimensions: Length: 32.2 cm Weight: 184.7 g. You will find more photos on our website: www.remparts-antiquites.com
