St. Georges Silver, Enamel, And Updated Dressing Box
An enameled silver box depicting St. George slaying the dragon within a plique-à-jour floral frieze. The motto reads "L encadrere" (Shame on him who thinks evil of it). The openwork rim of the box, allowing fragrances to diffuse, is decorated with a ring of cherubs. Of great finesse and rarity, this box is in perfect condition. Hallmarks are present but worn and difficult to identify.
