Pair Of Louis XV Period Sené Chairs
Pair of Louis XV period chairs stamped by Jean Sené, known as "le Père" (the Father). Made of beechwood, these chairs are in perfect condition with a beautiful patina. The horsehair upholstery is covered in a very fine silk, cotton, and viscose fabric, embellished with a beautiful Declercq passementerie trim. Wide, spacious, and comfortable, these chairs will be perfect for your refined decor. Born at the end of the 17th century, Jean Sené was the first of a long line of chair makers. He used this stamp between 1743 and 1751. He may have disappeared shortly afterward, as very few of his signed works are known. Please feel free to contact me. Delivery available in France and elsewhere.
