First Half Of The 20th Century Pair Of Sculptures With Players
Refined and unique pair of terracotta sculptures, crafted using a stick technique. The sculptures feature a round base and depict two male figures, likely musicians or singers of poetry, who in the past would visit taverns to entertain diners. Both wear hats and simple clothing. One plays the ocarina, while the other sings, as evidenced by his open mouth, and holds his hand to his chest. This pair of sculptures exudes great taste and elegance, adding a touch of class and antiquity to any setting. Small defects are reported. Tuscan craftsmanship attributed to Decimo Passani (1884-1952), a famous Tuscan sculptor from the first half of the 20th century.
