Object description :

"Pair Of Engraved Crystal Candle Holders, Early 19th Century "
A pair of engraved yellow crystal candle holders, one decorated with a hunting dog in a forest landscape, the other with a doe, also in a forest setting. The finely engraved, yellow-lined crystal creates a superb contrast! The decoration evokes the grand hunts of the 18th century. A rare pair of crystal candle holders in this condition; it's hard to believe they weren't broken before, given their age! Note: one candle holder has a chip the size of a pinhead. Ideal for complementing a pretty pair of candlesticks or sconces, or for display in a cabinet. A beautiful collector's item.
