"Reliquary With Paper Filigree From The Napoleon III Era"
A lovely Napoleon III period reliquary, circa 1870, with a stylized floral design. The box is made of blackened papier-mâché with a silky fabric base, covered by its original protective glass, featuring charming bubbles, and edged with a finely stitched yellow braid. Beautiful paperwork and beadwork surround eight contact relics placed on thin cotton cushions. In good overall condition.
Relics of St. Sebastian, St. Thomas, St. Vincent, St. Anastasius, St. Marcellus, St. Gregory, St. Polycarp, and St. Donatian.
