Minerva hallmark, first standard 950, Charles Antoine Lenglet maker's mark: a lion passant and a star, registered in 1823, cancelled in 1843, rue du Bourg l'Abbé, Paris. Polylobed model with a finial in the form of flowers and foliage. The lining, or "double bottom," is monogrammed RB VA and bears a baronial coronet. The body of the vegetable dish bears a coat of arms: two lions and a tower on the left for the lady and three owls on the right for the gentleman. (From the initials, the coat of arms, and the date of the silversmith, it is easy to deduce a family name.) Weight approximately 1846 grams, lid approximately 629 grams, lining approximately 471 grams, receptacle approximately 746 grams.
