Single-edged steel blade, guilloché back, counter-edge, pointed tip;
two-thirds of blade chiselled with foliage and floral motifs.
Rectangular blade heel with circular openings, marked ‘TOLEDO’.
Steel mount.
Triangular guard engraved with foliage and floral motifs.
Straight quillons with rings and beads.
Filigree ferrule made of brass wire, with four ridges.
Pommel finished with a button.
This dagger was used in two-handed combat and was reserved for the so-called ‘weak’ hand, i.e. the left hand.
