An interesting pair of two-branch candlesticks, each composed of two 18th or early 19th-century Chinese famille rose porcelain figurines depicting two figures from the Eight Immortals, likely Shoulao and Jurojin. The figures are set in European-style gilt bronze and sheet metal mounts decorated with foliage and floral buds. In good overall condition, only the Shoulao figure (the rounder one) has a discreet restoration to the neck and minor wear to the fruit held in his hands. Height 30cm, width 23cm. The figures are 21cm and 18cm high. The circular bases are openwork; one fixing screw has been replaced. An old, illegible label is on the back.
