Wedding Trunk Or Chest India Rajasthan
A wedding trunk or chest, likely of Rajasthanian origin, dating from the late 19th or early 20th century. It features two handles on each side and exceptional ironwork with a checkerboard pattern across the entire chest. It opens from the top, revealing a large interior space and a small, separate upper section. Note that it rests on a wooden base, which originally had four wheels; all four are missing (see photos).
