Artist: Johann Joachim Kaendler Et Johann Carl Schönheit
The young woman in a summer dress and hat stands on a square, naturalistic-style base decorated with rocaille motifs in relief. She holds a wreath of flowers in her right hand and a basket of flowers in her left. Model created by Johann Carl Schönheit in 1767, numbered B65, 49 cm. Opposite, the man, carrying a basket and bouquet, stands near a scrolled column. Polychrome paint and gilt decoration. Model created by Johann Joachim Kaendler in 1762, numbered 2868, 50 cm. The pair bears the blue crossed swords mark and is reproduced in the Meissen Bergmann catalogue. In very good condition, with only a few minor losses to the leaves.
