Antique Umbrella, Good Condition, Suitable For Weddings, Historical Reenactments, Circa 1850
Antique umbrella. The silk canopy has been replaced with a lovely brocaded silk, but the original fringes have been retained. This umbrella is therefore in excellent condition and ready for use. It features a beautiful carved bone handle decorated with interlaced ropes. When open, a mechanism allows the canopy to be tilted by pushing the upper metal ring (at the top of the parasol, just below the canopy). The central metal ring allows the parasol to be folded in half, making it easier to store or carry in a carriage. It measures 24,80 inches long when closed and approximately 17,71 inches in diameter when open. France, circa 1850.
