Napoleon III Lantern
Napoleon III lantern. It is made of bronze with a black patina. The light green glass shade is studded with blue and amber cabochons. Stylized dragons and knots, with foliate details of very high quality bronze, punctuate the vertical rim, with a small frieze at the top and bottom of the cylinder. An openwork crown of dragons adorns the top. Constricting circles and a decorated finial complete the lower section. The inscription "chalet enfin" (chalet finally) is enameled in blue and gold within a cartouche.
