"Chinese Porcelain Lamp. Napoleon III Period"
A Canton porcelain lamp, decorated in polychrome and gold with scenes of an imperial palace in reserve. Floral vases form the background, and salamanders are appliquéd.
It rests on a richly chased and varnished gilt bronze base adorned with laurel garlands. Napoleon III period.
This lamp is in very good condition, with a very slight, barely visible hairline crack at the neck.
The upper part may be a replacement.
