Grand Antique Northern Marble Fireplace
A 19th-century Louis XIV style Grand Antique du Nord marble fireplace, in perfect condition, is offered with its original hearth slab. The arch of its lintel features two shaped panels at its ends, and a generous, framed torus molding highlights the perimeter of the firebox. This remarkable marble, Grand Antique du Nord, extracted from the Fenderie quarry located in the commune of Jeumont, also known as Brabançon or Brabençon, has been quarried since the 17th century.
