Regence Fireplace In Sarrancolin Marble
This Parisian fireplace is made of Sarrancolin marble of exceptional beauty. This model is found at the Palace of Versailles. The frieze is decorated with a central cartouche and two shells at the ends. The jambs are carved with shells and acanthus leaves. The hearth is framed by a molding that ends on the cartouche of the frieze. The sculpture is very refined. The top is molded in the shape of a double crossbow.
