Object description :

"Pair Of Engraved Glass Panels – Attributed To Max Ingrand – 1930/1940"

Acid-etched and sandblasted frosted glass panels depicting the allegories of Autumn and Spring. These pieces were almost certainly part of an original "Four Seasons" suite.

The engraving work, executed with extreme finesse, highlights the elegant and dreamlike aesthetic typical of the 1930s and 40s. The fluid lines of the female silhouettes and the botanical motifs are characteristic of the work of Max Ingrand, the iconic master glassmaker of this period.
