Sewing Needle Case With Selector - Turned Wood - 19th Century - Lfdlc Mark
A barrel-shaped needle case made of turned and varnished boxwood, dating from the late 19th century and in the Napoleon III style. This antique haberdashery item features an ingenious system: the upper part pivots to align the outlet with the desired needle size (graduations visible from 5 to 9). The decoration is finely screen-printed in black, displaying the inscription "Needle Cases," the trademark "LF d. FC," and the registered model number 2001. It also has a safety position marked "Closed" with a directional arrow. In good condition with a superb patina of use – a relatively rare piece.
