Head of a woman in Greek profile, her face subtly smiling, her highly structured hairstyle appearing to billow in the wind. Rectangular base symbolizing waves.
The posture, stylization, and architecturally defined hair evoke the spirit of the great sculptor Alfred Janniot.
Signature "Lejan" engraved on the side.
Circa 1930, likely made in Orchies at the "Moulin des Loups" factory.
Very good condition, with some minor wear to the patina.
