Large and moving sculpture in patinated terracotta, signed and dated 1872. Publisher Susse Frères.
The crying Lorraine is chained by ropes and an eagle seems to come and eat her heart. Our sculpture is linked to the history of the region. In 1871, the Treaty of Frankfurt which ended the war allocated Lorraine territories.
