Jacques-michel Dunoyer (1933-2000), Large Painting With Bouquet Of Flowers 1978.
Jacques-Michel Dunoyer, painter, was born on June 20, 1933, in Arras and died on January 23, 2000, in Monaco (French School). A post-Impressionist painter working in oils, he drew his inspiration from nature, landscapes of France and elsewhere, and bouquets of flowers. A self-taught artist, he showed his first canvases to the renowned Parisian art dealer Armand Drouant, who strongly encouraged him to persevere. In 1964, he established his studio in Saint-Paul-de-Vence, on Rue Grande, where he remained until his death in 2000. His first exhibitions at the Saint-Paul Museum in Paris, Cannes, and then at the Galerie du Mont d'Arbois, owned by the Rothschilds in Megève, brought him widespread recognition. Very quickly, prominent figures flocked to the small studio: members of royal courts, artists, businessmen, and collectors, including Prince Nikita Romanov, Dom Jaime of Spain, Prince Al Khalifa, Saul Chaplin, James Stewart, Barbra Streisand, and others. Robert Wagner and Natalie Wood, who became friends, opened the doors of Hollywood to him by offering him a private exhibition at their home in Los Angeles in 1969. These images of serenity, happiness, and harmony left a strong mark on his work. This very beautiful painting, an oil on canvas depicting a bouquet of flowers, is representative of his talent. It is signed by the artist in the lower right corner (the letter G was added in 1966 in homage to his wife, Gwendoline) and dated (19)78. Dimensions: Size 30F. Height 92 x Width 72 cm - 115 x 98 cm with the original frame. Good condition.
