Elegant Empire period commode in solid mahogany and mahogany veneer, resting on ringed column uprights, richly decorated with finely chiseled gilt bronze mounts. It opens with three wide drawers in the front, offering excellent storage capacity. The fronts feature a superb flamed veneer, characteristic of the Empire style, highlighting the quality of craftsmanship and the harmonious proportions. The gilt bronze mounts are exquisitely detailed and well-preserved. The veined gray marble top is in good condition and lends an elegant simplicity to the piece.
