Empire Restoration Period Gilt Bronze Candlestick
Rare Restoration period gilt bronze candlestick. The base is finely chased with a Greek key frieze and fruit baskets. The helical shaft is reminiscent of the architecture of the Vendôme Column or Trajan's Column. The spirals are decorated with a rich array of flowers. The capital is adorned with cornucopias. The candlestick is sold with its drip tray. An assembly of seven pieces, a mark of quality. The gilding is in good overall condition.
