The whole is framed by a finely molded gilt bronze border decorated with concentric striations. The plaque is presented in a giltwood frame, richly carved with scrolling foliage and foliate motifs, with partially patinated antique gilding. It is mounted on a background of light-colored wild silk, whose irregular and vibrant texture contributes to the elegance and preciousness of the presentation.
