The Master's Commode From The Charles X Period
Miniature commodes, masterful craftsmanship from the Charles X period, one veneered in rosewood and lemonwood, the other in maple and walnut. Each opens with four drawers on the front, one of which has a molded edge. One is veneered in rosewood and the other in maple, inlaid with stringing and stylized motifs of fleurons, scrolls, volutes, palmettes, and rosettes in lemonwood. They have beige-grey marble tops and are finished with French polish. €2200 each. They are in very good condition, delightful collector's items.
