Verijero Argentinian Gaucho Knife, Bellver House In Tandil, Circa 1970

This Verijero-style knife is an iconic piece of Argentine silversmithing and Gaucho culture.

It comes from the city of Tandil, the historical cradle of high-quality Argentine handcrafted cutlery.

The steel blade is signed by the renowned cutler Bellver, guaranteeing traditional mid-20th-century craftsmanship.

The handle and matching sheath are made of Alpaca (nickel silver), a noble alloy widely used by South American silversmiths for its robustness and silver-like luster.

The whole piece features an elegant twisted design.

The sheath is fitted with its original clip, adorned with a floral motif, for belt attachment.

The word "ALPACA" is also stamped on this attachment.

Traditionally used for daily tasks and meals, this small dagger is now a sought-after collector's item for its aesthetic appeal.

The blade has a beautiful patina from use without any major structural damage.

An authentic piece of South American folk art.
