I am offering here a very beautiful cobalt blue vase on a white background depicting a lively scene of three scholars seated at a table, with a young woman beside them. A butterfly is depicted on the other side. It bears the four-character mark of Emperor Kangxi. This vase is from a later period, most likely the Guangxu period (1875-1908). The vase is signed in honor of Emperor Kangxi and the superb cobalt blue pieces of this period.
