"Woman with Raised Arms." Lalique, France, circa 1950. Lamp created from a decorative panel after René Lalique in 1928 to adorn the carriages of the famous Orient Express train. A carriage containing these Lalique panels is currently preserved by the French government and listed as a French historical monument. This model is signed Lalique, but the "@ France" is worn away. The two upper corners are worn at the rear. The entire piece is set within a frame of raised half-round molding, with marquetry veneer on the front. Two translucent glass stems on each side. Rewired. Various signs of wear. Weight: 15 kg.
