Large 19th Century Chandelier Rosette
Description:
Bronze and gilded carved wood.
This rosette served both as a ceiling rose and to conceal the chandelier fitting. The large wooden circumference is decorated with a ribbon frieze, while the central bronze section features radiating plant motifs.
Condition:
Good condition, has been regilded. The wooden plaque has a slight bow in one section, which will not be noticeable in situ. Dimensions:
Diameter: 35.5 cm, smooth rim thickness: 1.8 cm, maximum thickness: 8 cm.
