Transitional Period Commode With Projecting Back

A mahogany and mahogany veneer commode with a projecting front. It opens to reveal two wide, molded drawers without a central divider. The rounded uprights are carved with fluting. It has cabriole legs and a breccia marble top. Stamped GHLUTZ (Girard-Henri Lutz), Master in 1766. Transitional period between Louis XV and Louis XVI.
