Sergio Rodrigues (1927-2014) - Pair Of "kilin" Armchairs
- An exceptional pair of Kilin armchairs designed by Sergio Rodrigues, a major figure in Brazilian modernist design, and produced by OCA, Brazil.
- An icon of 20th-century South American design, the Kilin model is distinguished by its architectural solid wood structure and its suspended seat upholstered in thick leather, combining formal simplicity, comfort, and masterful craftsmanship. Solid wood (probably jacaranda or tropical hardwood), with a beautiful original patina.
- Original natural leather, taut, supple, and comfortable. Manufactured by OCA, authentic Brazilian production, circa 1960–1970. Very good vintage condition. The wood is in excellent structural condition, with a uniform patina. The leather is original and shows beautiful natural wear.
- Two touch-ups and two reinforcements were carried out by a professional restorer, respecting the original materials and aesthetics, guaranteeing comfort and durability without compromising the overall authenticity.
- The Kilin armchair is one of Sergio Rodrigues' most sought-after designs, rarely found as a complete pair, especially in this state of preservation and with an identified OCA provenance.
- An ideal collector's item for modernist design enthusiasts, collectors, or high-end interior design projects. Price shown is for the pair.
