A Louis XV style bombé commode, stamped and decorated with marquetry and richly ornamented with chased bronze mounts. The front opens with two drawers without a central rail, and the maker's mark is located on the side of one drawer (see photos). The drawers are adorned with gilt bronze handles and keyhole escutcheons, in an elegant and perfectly balanced rocaille style. The curved uprights and feet, terminating in bronze sabots, lend lightness and movement to the whole. The lower rail, decorated with a central chased bronze mascaron, reinforces the decorative refinement of the piece. The commode is topped with a veined Siena marble, adding a touch of nobility and contrast, while ensuring a solid and elegant surface. Period: late 19th century. Style: Louis XV.
