Deluxe model dueling sword - France/Spain, 1879. Special order made in Toledo for Mr. Charles Cuel. Three-sided, fuller-edged blade. Acid-etched interlacing and arabesque designs on the first third of the three sides. Gilt engravings. On the ricasso, one side: "Artilleria fabrica de Toledo" (Toledo Artillery). On the other side: "Ano de 1879" (Year 1879). Openwork steel guard and chiseled steel pommel in an olive shape. Wooden grip covered with steel wire. Wooden scabbard covered in black morocco leather and fitted with an engraved steel chape and locket. Excellent condition, no play. Overall length 113.5 cm. Length without scabbard 112 cm. Blade length 92 cm. Weight 700 g. Weight without scabbard 570 g.
