Auvergne Hurdy-gurdy
We present this superb hurdy-gurdy signed by Pajot Fils in Jenzat, Allier (03). Pajot Fils (from a branch of the Pajot family) was actually an instrument dealer and repairman, but on one side you will see the Pajot Fils stamp and on the other a stamp reading "ancienne maison Pajot père et fils" (old Pajot father and son workshop), a company founded in 1795. Our hurdy-gurdy is dated 1927. It is richly decorated, the wheel handle is porcelain, and the keys and rim decorations are bone. Originally, it had a magnificently carved head. This hurdy-gurdy is in very good condition; however, minor restoration is recommended on two sides. It is sold as is. Shipping extra (€25).
