Curiosity: An interesting reverse glass painting (sometimes called reverse glass painting) of a Chinese erotic scene against a mirrored background, in a wooden frame.

It dates from the late 19th century, around 1870-1890.

A quality Chinese piece for a cabinet of curiosities, very fashionable during the reign of Napoleon III.

Sold as found, in good condition, with excellent execution and vibrant colors.

The frame is also in its original condition, with slight wear consistent with age, no chips, and no cracks.
