Wooden box originating from the High Vosges Mountains - Folk art - 19th century. Rectangular box/casket, possibly for a wedding, lacemaker, or "catch-all," made of wood carved with geometric shapes. Rustic hinges made of wire. It closes with a hook and ring, which are missing. Made of beech wood. Good condition, only the small ring and hook for the closure are missing. Length 31.5 cm, width 17 cm, height 11 cm
