Wooden box originating from the High Vosges Mountains - Folk art - 19th century. Rectangular box/casket, possibly for a wedding, lacemaker, or "catch-all," made of carved wood with geometric shapes and flowers. Rustic hinges made of wire. Closes with two hooks and rings (missing). Made of beech wood. Good condition, only the rings and hooks are missing. Numerous woodworm holes (treated wood). Length 41.5 cm, width 26.5 cm, height 18.5 cm
