"Crystal Carafe, Saint-louis, Joseph Model, Early 20th Century"
A red cut crystal decanter from the Saint-Louis factory. The Joseph model, created in 1920 and listed in catalogs until 1940, is characterized by wide, flat ribs and a six-sided foot. A label bearing the Saint-Louis mark is visible on the body, allowing the decanter to be dated to before 1936, the year the factory began acid-etching its pieces.
The number 6 is engraved under the base of the stopper and the decanter.
Good condition.
Art Deco period.
